Round Table was started in 1927 in Norwich by a then young Rotarian, Louis Marchesi, who saw the need for a club for like minded men who were still a bit too young for Rotary but had something to offer back to their local community.

From that Round Table was born and still today Norwich No 1 Table is still going strong. The only difference being that Round Table is now a world wide organization with clubs in most countries around the world.

Here in Somerset, Yeovil Table 222 is part of Area 37 which covers all the tables within Somerset. There is good fellowship to be had with many functions held between different tables from sports competitions to formal dinners with sporting/celebrity speakers to joint charity events which could cover anything from raising money on a joint front for a local, national or indeed international charity or just getting in there and getting your hands dirty and helping out with specific requirements.

The main rule in table though is to HAVE FUN!!! Membership is currently on the rise within Table and many professions are represented within the current members.

Yeovil Table usually meets on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Tuesday of each month and has a differing diary of events throughout the year.
